C.A.R.A Mineo is home to migrants arriving in the Rhodes, Lampedusa or Sicily
Ports in Italy. It was a housing facility for US military families and was re purposed for hosting migrants in 2011. The Italian Red Cross operates the clinic there, which looks after the medical needs of the residents.
