Background:
Half the population of Niger (7 million people) is currently suffering food insecurity. This footage illustrates the reality for many people who have access to very little food. It also shows the work of the Red Cross in running health centres for malnourished infants and providing food (alongside the World Food Programme) to vulnerable families.
This B-roll complements the two short films that have the full interview with Saray X, who struggles to feed her 10 children and Ali Yaha who runs the health centre in Zinder.
