Two years on from Typhoon Haiyan, the worst storm to make landfall, Red Cross and Red Crescent has helped tens of thousands of families rebuild their shattered lives with new homes and livelihoods, repairing health centres, schools and facilities, and training communities to prepare for future disasters. On the Island Samar The Red Cross has built new shelters and a health centre. The shelters were constructed to withstand heavy weather and the community was thought how to maintain the houses.
