'Haiti En Scene' Programme - Supporting children living in camps

ENG

HAITI 1st ANNIVERSARY

The Canadian and the French Red Cross have decided to help finance a program initiated by "Haiti en Scène". The idea is to bring psychological support to the children living in the camps who suffered from the earthquake.

A team of professional dancers and singers go to many camps everyday to share their passion with young people from 10 to 25. Through singing and dancing lessons, the aim is to keep these young people away from violence, to bring them something else, to work on discipline and to create vocations.

These are the reasons why the Red Cross has decided to support them: Next Sunday, 600 children and about 80 professionals will produce a big show where about 17 000 people are expected. The show will be free and the people living in the camps will be the first guests.

BRoll is available for preview and download in Broadcast quality along with the shotlist in English and French.
